Systems Dancing

At Dancing Foundation, we wish to promote the growth of dance communities through the application of systems science, inspired by the teachings of Donella Meadows.

Dancing Foundation is dedicated to helping dance communities in various jurisdictions by connecting them with local government officials to secure space and permits for their activities.

Donella Meadows was a systems analyst and environmental scientist who dedicated her life to studying complex systems and the relationships between them. Her work has inspired us to utilize systems science in the field of dance to observe systems while affecting change.

We believe that dance has the power to bring people together and create a sense of connection and unity. By applying systems science principles to dance communities, we can create more inclusive and sustainable dance environments.

We work with dance communities to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions that promote growth and sustainability. By utilizing systems thinking, we can observe the interrelated components of a dance community and understand how changes in one area can affect the entire system.

In addition to promoting systems thinking, we also work to connect dance communities with local government officials to secure spaces and permits. We understand the challenges that dance communities face in finding appropriate spaces to practice and perform, as well as securing the necessary permits to do so. Members from our team assists local communities in building relationships with local government.
