Longboard Dancing
What is longboard dancing?
Longboard dancing is a graceful fusion of skateboarding, breakdancing, and freestyle dance that is performed on the deck of a longboard skateboard. Imagine gliding smoothly down the pavement with fluid movements and expressive footwork, making the longboard an extension of your own body. With each rotation and slide, the skater transforms the board into a dance floor, expressing oneself fluidly and dynamically.
Longboard dancing requires a unique set of skills, as the longboard's length and flexibility allow for a wider range of movements compared to traditional skateboards. Skaters can perform a variety of dance moves, such as footplants, grabs, slides, and flips, all while maintaining complete control of the board. While it may seem intimidating at first, we encourage dancers and skaters of all levels to participate in our longboard dancing meet ups and events.
